Step by step
- Hydraulic: enter the mains pressure from a flow and pressure test, choose the hot water system, and tick recycled water or a lowest floor below the sewer when they apply. Results: cold water demand and main size, pressure and booster, hot water plant, sewer, stormwater and fire water.
- Mechanical: choose the air conditioning system or leave it automatic, set the cooling load and the car park ventilation. Results: cooling kW, plant area, dwelling exhaust, car park ventilation, lifts and smoke control.
- Electrical: set the EV-ready spaces, chargers installed, solar PV roof coverage, battery storage, standby generator, embedded network and common-area lighting. Results: maximum demand, supply and substation, main switchboard, EV charging, solar PV, lighting and communications.
- Fire: leave sprinklers, hose reels and the fire control centre automatic for the NCC rule or force them, and enter the street mains fire flow when a hydrant test is available. Results: type of construction, effective height, sprinklers, hydrants, exits, detection, fire-resistance and the fire water supply, with a tank and pumps when the main is short.
- Open Plant and services schedule for every plant room with its location and area, and check that the common-area allowance in the floor plans covers the total.
- The Engineering block in the data panel, the Report view and the Engineering sheet of the Excel export carry the same figures. Failed and warned checks also appear under Compliance.

Hydraulic. Hydraulic sizes the water service from the number of dwellings: the probable demand, the main size, and whether the mains pressure reaches the top floor or a booster pump and break tank are needed. Hot water can be a central heat pump or gas plant, or units in each dwelling. It also sizes the sewer, flags a pump station when the lowest floor is below the sewer, and the stormwater connection.
Mechanical. Mechanical chooses the air conditioning: split systems, V R F, or a central chilled water plant, with the cooling load and the plant area it needs. It sizes the car park ventilation to A S sixteen sixty-eight, the dwelling exhaust, the lifts and the smoke control.
Electrical. Electrical estimates the maximum demand in k V A, the supply and substation, and the main switchboard. Set how many car spaces are E V ready and how many chargers are installed, the solar P V roof coverage and battery storage, and whether a standby generator is needed.
Fire and the plant schedule. Fire reads the N C C: the class, the rise in storeys and the type of construction, sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, exits and travel distances, detection, and the fire control centre. If the street main cannot supply the fire flow, it adds a tank and pump room. The plant and services schedule lists every plant room, where it goes and its area, and the data panel and the report carry the summary.
