Getting started: your account and the designer

Request access, sign in with an emailed link, start a design and find your way around the inputs, the design view and the data panel.

Narrated walkthrough, 1 minute 17 seconds. Nothing plays until you press play.

Step by step

  1. Open the overview page and press Request access. Enter your name, email and role, what you are working on, and an access code if you have one, then submit. We email you a sign-in link when your account is ready (at once with a valid code).
  2. Open the sign-in link from the email. Your device stays signed in for about six months. To sign in elsewhere, request a fresh link from the access page.
  3. If your access is not active yet, enter your access code on your account page, then press Open the designer.
  4. Choose how to start: the sample site, the townhouse or granny flat sample, Find my site (search an address), Draw a site or Import a DXF survey.
  5. Work left to right: inputs (Site, Criteria, Generate, Costs, Finance), the design view (Plan, Floors, 3D, Compare, Report) and the data panel (key figures, unit program, areas, compliance, environment).
  6. The top bar names and saves the design, and holds undo and redo, My designs, Share, Export, Feedback and the guide. On a phone, switch between the three parts with the bar at the bottom.

Request access. Welcome to the designer. Everything runs in your browser, with nothing to install. Request access on the overview page: your name, email, company and role, who referred you, and what you will use it on. A valid access code opens your account straight away. Otherwise we review your request and email you a sign-in link when your account is ready.

Sign in with an emailed link. There is no password. Open the link we email you and your device stays signed in for about six months. On another device, ask for a fresh link from the access page.

Start a design. The designer opens with a start menu: the sample site, a townhouse or granny flat sample, your own address, a boundary you draw, or a D X F survey.

Inputs, design view and data. The screen has three parts. Inputs on the left: Site, Criteria, Generate, Costs and Finance. The design view in the middle: Plan, Floors, 3D, Compare and Report. And the data panel on the right, with the key figures, unit program, areas and compliance.

The top bar. The top bar names the design and saves it on your device as you work. It holds undo and redo, My designs, Share, Export, Feedback and the guide. Press Feedback at any time to send a note to the team.

Try it on a real site.

Request access, then open the designer and load the sample or search your own address. No card and no password: we email you a sign-in link when your account is ready; an access code opens it straight away.
